Assurmate is an insurance advisory and a recruitment agency. We started because buying insurance in India is confusing, one-sided and lonely at claim time — and because the businesses we insure kept asking us to help them hire, pay and keep good people too.
Our story
Most people buy insurance from whoever reaches them first — an agent tied to one company, a bank cross-selling a product, or a website pushing the plan with the best payout for them. The result is cover that rarely fits, and no one in your corner when a claim comes.
Assurmate was founded in 2015 by Mr. Sumit Chhabra and Dr. Aakash in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, to change that. We represent you: we compare plans across 75+ insurance partners, explain them without the jargon, and then stay on — through renewals, reviews and the claim itself. Ten years later, with a second office at Connaught Place, New Delhi, the name still says it: a mate for your assurance.
The second half of the business grew out of the first. Corporate clients who trusted us with group cover started asking who could find them people, run their payroll and keep them compliant — so Assurmate became an insurance and recruitment agency. Today we hire across insurance, BPO, banking, IT, retail and more, and run HR, payroll and statutory compliance for the same businesses we insure. Two lines, one team, one point of contact.

Company founded
Established by Mr. Sumit Chhabra & Dr. Aakash with a small office in Bulandshahr, U.P., focused on retail insurance products.

Expansion phase
Added a corporate channel for business insurance solutions, expanded partnerships with major insurers, and grew the client base by 200%.

Second office
Opened a branch at Barakhamba Road, Connaught Place, New Delhi, expanded the team with expert advisors and launched a digital insurance platform.
